Hen is making werid noise!!

Not an expert, but I had one doing the sneeze and shake the other day that I see yours doing here (not the wheezing sound, though). It was because she ate too much dry chick crumble too fast and must have swallowed wrong or breathed a little in. She was fine after a couple of sneezes and head shakes, but it took a minute to resolve.

Since yours is actively wheezing, I'd take a peek into her mouth and see if you can spot anything unusual, like mucus, yellow plaques, etc or any eye bubbles/snot in case something respiratory is starting. But with this sudden onset I'm thinking she just swallowed something wrong, like mine, and this may resolve itself with no interference.

Definitely keep an eye on her and let us know if anything changes! If you CAN get photos inside her mouth (I know this is hard, I always have to enlist my husband to help lol) and of her eyes and face, that would help the experts weigh in more accurately. ❤️

She has done the sneeze and shake too from eating too fast. She was standing next to the food bowl this morning when I heard her wheezing. She is still wheezing but she also is sneezing which is good. Most definitely are too fast as she has a habit! She’s eating and drinking though. I’ll keep an eye on her and when I get home I’ll check her mouth but before I left she seemed fine besides the wheezing.

This thread has a case a bit like yours. The hen made it, but it seems she got a bit worse before she got better and they ended up treating more like it was an infection. There's a video of the breathing to compare.

I'd for sure do the inspection of her beak and face when you are able to and report back, just in case there's something more to go on as far as observable symptoms. This could definitely still resolve on its own and if she eats, drinks, seems otherwise healthy it probably will.
