For the last ~2 weeks my splash marans has been acting weird. At first I thought she hurt herself jumping down from their roost (she's a big girl and one morning I heard a commotion and found her with her tail down--I checked their cams and she started making a commotion right after jumping down) but now I'm not so sure. This was a couple weeks ago now.

She has been walking around with her tail down but most of the time she wants to sit down and not walk. Her wings seems like they are a little droopy/heavy but she is eating and drinking and her face looks perky (eyes open, alert).

Today I found this odd egg and it was from her because she was the only one in that nesting box on my cam.

Does she have a reproductive issue do you think?

I also attached a few photos of her appearance and a foot (her feet seem okay).

Her symptoms sound like a reproductive disorder. She might be laying internally. I would try also to rule out egg binding by inserting a clean finger into her vent up to 2 inches to feel for a stuck egg. The egg shell in the picture is from a cracked and mended egg, similar to a body-checked egg which you can read about in this link:

Thank you for the resource and info. I was hoping that since she just laid an egg today and because it's been going on for a couple weeks that it wouldn't be possible that there was egg binding? What do you think? Maybe she is laying internally. A couple weeks before this happened I found an egg laid without a shell (and have since given them a dedicated oyster shell tray, which I have noticed have hardened up all of their eggs very effectively already).

I'm almost certain it's internal laying...I dont know what else it could be. I'm praying she will be ok but I don't know what I can do to help her.
