Hen keeps pecking her chick

Help! I had a broody hen so I bought3 fertile eggs and 1 chick hatched out last week so today it's a week old. Anyway mummy hen keeps pecking it, pulling it's wings and trying to chuck it outside. I got her away from the chick and closed the coop door for a few minutes but the chick went mental chirping full volume and looked very distressed and mummy hen was doing the same and doing everything she could to get back in.
Do I separate them or leave them be? I'm worried she's going to kill it

You have a dilemma for sure as it is a single chick. What you have is what's known as a homicidal broody:
