One of my 1 year old Production Red hens have been laying really soft eggs for the past four days in a row. Less of an egg really, more like a water balloon.
My chickens all have access to oyster shells, so I don't believe calcium is an issue.
She is not stressed, all my girls appear to be happy. They have a huge run, and there doesn't appear to have any bullying issue, nor is there a predator issue their coup and run is extremely secure. They also free range along side of the house daily.
Edit: they eat non-GMO organic Bar Ale crumbles. I only give them a half of a handful of Chicken Crack in the afternoon. And that’s it.
if it was just one, once in a while I wouldn't be concerned. It's been every single day now. Thoughts? Help. Thank you.
