Hen lethargic won't eat or drink crop seems okay

I have a 5 month old white leghorn who has been lethargic the past 3 days or so. She isn't interested in food or water, won't drink even if I dribble water on her beak, and half-way pecks at food but isn't actually eating. No other symptoms, breathing is okay, everything appears healthy. After reading various posts I had hopes that there was something wrong with her crop, but I can't feel any unusual bulges around her neck. I feel bone more than anything. This is the first time I've checked a crop - should it be fairly obvious if hers is full?
She's been laying for the past 3 weeks or so, don't know if she has in the past 3 days or not. I just isolated her this morning in a cat carrier, so I'll be able to observe her poop etc. I'm sure she's dehydrated -- I gave her about a teaspoon of electrolyte water using a bulb syringe -- I didn't know how much was safe to force on her. I also gave her a little bit of olive oil, in case I'm missing something regarding the crop.
Any tips on what I can do to rehydrate her, techniques etc would be appreciated. And any ideas for what could be wrong... poor thing isn't putting up much of a fight and feels like she weighs about a pound!

I have had the same sort of problem but in my case I have seen tape worm segments in some stool watch her stool and maybe take to a vet for a fecal test. In the mean time try a mash with oatmeal and some of her feed just to get some food in her also I agree with you to syringe some water in her. Also your comment on her lite weight might be worms.

She finally had a very small poop and it looked like the photo 3rd from bottom on this page http://www.chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?topic=17568.0 -- same symptoms too. I hadn't heard of egg peritonitis, so I researched that a bit. My husband had reported a broken egg a few days ago, said it had about half of a normal shell. He had thought one of the other hens had broken it. (Learning more all the time!)
I rubbed down my hen -- I don't feel any eggs. I turned her over, her vent seems a bit distended, about the size of a nickel, but no blood or yolk, just some dried white stuff that I am assuming is urates. Should I probe? She got irritated when I was just moving feathers around in the area -- the perkiest she's been all day.

An update. I tried to probe around the vent but she didn't like it, probably because I don't exactly what to do. But it wasn't very flexible and I didn't want to hurt her. Anyway, I let her out of the cat carrier to wander the coop for a while. She attempted to eat with more energy than this morning, but was still very weak and allowed the other hens to literally walk all over her, so I put her back in the carrier. So far the only "therapeutic" stuff I've done all day is force electrolyte water/olive oil mix into her (maybe 45 ml all together) and a little yogurt whey/oatmeal mash. And give her lots of attention and massages and cuddling.

If she lays an egg in the morning, can I assume there's no problems there?

I had a SL wyandotte act the same way even laying a soft shelled eggs had a fecal done and she had worms.
