So yesterday noticed one of my Plymouth Rock hens began limping on her left foot but was still able to walk around a lot.

today I found her lying down as seen in image below but haven’t noticed anything wrong with the foot she is limping on?
What is the best thing to do? Just let her rest here, she isn’t an old hen, only 2 years and just gave her some food and water where she was laying.

thanks for your help

Check her face, vent, poo, comb, torso area, and post photos of her feet (the first few ones are precautions). If anything seems odd take a photo of that too. It could be she just sprained it, though I’d rather make sure that’s all.

Most likely she has sprained or strained a ligament or tendon. Here's a link for you, please read post #4:

Could well be Maericks disease. Strong isolation and monitoring. If it is Maericks culling is the only solution (along with s as deep clean of the coop). A limping chicken can be many things but if you can’t see anything physically wrong then Maericks becomes more likely. Especially if you get chickens anywhere other than mail order chicks.

How is Mavericks caused? I know thier is bird flu going round in the Uk which is why they have been kept in a closed area inside with no contacts with outdoors so unlikely to be mavericks since already having to keep them separated indoors because of bird flu

The foot looks kind of swollen. I think it might be bumble foot. Bath it in Epsom salts for a few days. If her condition doesn’t change then come back and post again In a few days. @MTR it several doubt it is maericks disease, especially since there was nothing on her comb or wattles.
