Also she was not making the sound last night, but when I went into let them out and feed she was making it on the roost.Have you checked to see if anything is stuck in her throat?
thank you, it does seem like this is the same issue. We brought her in to her own space and put some VetRX on her and she has stopped making the noise every breath, but just the occasional. She is really pushing with her vent muscles like she is maybe trying to lay, but has been doing this for a bit.It could be stridor a high pitched wheezing sound made when a small piece of feed gets stuck in the airway. It usually goes away in a few hours or overnight. It also can occur with a respiratory infection from mucus plugs or swelling. Here in post 1 of this thread has a good video of stridor:
