Hen not looking so good

I've was over at my friend's house watering plants when their hen jumped on a table and did the biggest and smelliest poop I've ever seen. It was the size of a extra-large egg (no exaggeration). It wasn't runny or anything - just big. Her feathers didn't look good either and the other hen was picking on her. Is this normal? My friend is away for a while and I don't want his chicken to die on my watch.

a poop like that is generally made by a broody hen. Have you noticed her sitting on the nest alot?
