hen or roo and what color?

is this silkie a hen or a roo? also any guesses on its color

he/she is about 8 weeks old.

ok recounted and its 9 weeks old. maybe it looks so big because its being held by my 10 yr old

so its a splash color? it has browns and black and grey all mixed together. any one know at what age they are fully grown? i know they are slow to mature but how old are they usually when they are considered mature?
