Hen or roo egger? I've been told it is about 10wks, not 100% on that though... I think it might be starting to develop spurs? Idk...seems too young

Thanks!

Both sexes have those spur bumps. Roosters do not get actual spurs until they are 10 months to a year old. I can't see anything that says male on the bird, no shiny hackle or shiny and pointy saddle feathers. Are you sure of the age of the bird? Seems older than 10 weeks.

These are male saddle feathers. If you see those at any time, you have a male.

I'm thinking hen. By now, I believe you would begin to see the tail feathers beginning to curve by now.

Thanks! No, no saddle or hackle feathers yet. Her comb and wattles just came in really fast these past couple of days. I will continue to watch for the feathers, though! She has a dominant personality, too. Haha I watched her try to square off with one of my roos earlier today! All her neck feathers were all stuck out! Haha

Update!

Def a roo!! Look at how handsome he is!! Lol
