hen or roo?

luckily i was hoping that they would miss sexing one or two as i ordered the murray choice layers... it has been a chore trying to figure out my breeds when i noticed this little guy develop his comb pretty much over night

Yup, that's a cockerel.
 
i have 2 more that i suspect could be roos but i was unable to catch them to take pictures today
 
The most reliable way to tell males from females early on is by the comb. Males are usually bright red in the comb by 10 weeks old. Pullets don't start to turn red in the comb until they are close to laying age, usually about 14 to 18 weeks old.
