Hen or Roo?

Hey all we just added 2 new “hens” to our flock 2 days ago and we were doing a health check on them after getting them settled for a few days. Theyre about 5 months old according to the lady that sold them to us. One of them we’re wondering if it’s a roo. She/he has some pretty pointy neck feathers and stands pretty tall most of the time (she/he is squatting in the photo because it’s resting on my hubbys hand ) while the other new hen does submissively squat quite a bit around this one and our older hens. My hubby also heard what sounded suspiciously like crowing this morning.

She’s a pullet. Spurs don’t indicate gender

She's female. Either a pullet nearing point of lay or a hen taking a break in her laying cycle.
