Hen or Roo?

This chick is being raised alone, indoors, until it is big enough to mix with the flock. Roo was a Buff Orp, hen was a black and white Araucana. Sadly lost both to an owl air attack. The chick has features of both, green eyes, araucana head, yellow legs of BO. Chick is beginning to make loud morning noises...not crowing, but perhaps trying to bark?( dogs in the house) Almost 8 weeks old...anyone want to help me guess?

Looks like a cockerel to me.

Thanks...that is what I am thinking as well. I think the chick will fit in easier as a new little roo rather than try to mix a new hen in.
