I picked up my 8 buff and 2 blue orpingtons on the 12th of June. They were hatched the first week of June, the two blues being the newest being hatched on the 6th. The buffs were sexed as hens ( I know there is a margin of error), and I am thinking this one may be a Roo? It is one of the least feathered of the buffs also. I have attached two photos. One of the chick in question and another of what all the other chicks look like.

Given a comb that large and red at only 3 weeks, the chick in the top pic is definitely a cockerel. Sorry. :o(

That's a lot of comb for someone so young! I have a Columbian that I got at 3 weeks and his comb was that developed - and this weekend he started crowing! So I think definitely a roo.
