hen or rooster...that is the question

These girls (I think) were bought together mid April. The one on the left shows signs of being a boy but I'm just not experienced enough to tell. The butt feathers look the same and there's no spurs on the legs. But the left one's waddle are noticeably bigger and she/he is more vocal than all 5 chickens I have...any one???? Thank you for your time

I think they are both pullets because of the round butt feathers and no saddle feathers on either of them. The one of the left probably has a bigger comb and wattles because she is about ready to lay.

Thank you. I thought so but since I'm new to this I thought I'd throw it out there. I better unblock the nesting boxes. Can't wait for the eggs. Thanks again

No problem! I'm waiting on my girls to lay. They've got red combs and wattles but have been that way for at least a week or two. Should be expecting eggs any day now but I'm so impaitent! I just want my first egg!! lol

Both are definitely pullets, the one with the bigger comb and wattles is about to start laying!
