Glad to meet you, Nathalie, and welcome to BYC. Good for your daughter rescuing those chicks! What a weird and awful thing to dump baby birds in a high school bathroom.

Where do you live that you have wild chickens running around? Just curious, because there are a few places I know, but it's not that common.

You will probably want to get one or two pals for that little survivor. It sounds like it would be difficult to get Jujubee introduced to, and accepted by the wild flock.

And here is a the forum you will want to check when you think the chick is old enough to tell if it's a rooster or a hen. Be sure to look at the article near the top that says *{Please Read* It's full of helpful tips about getting a good photo. You may even get lucky and be able to figure out what breed that bird is.
