hen or rooster?

OK so our first group of chicks is now about 4 months old. 2 of them are definately roosters but I'm not sure about one of them. He or she has black and white feathers and the tail is what's confusing me. With roosters the tail is long and thin beautifuly curved feathers like a fountain. A hen has straight feathers on her tail. This one has a short tail and most of the feathers are straight except for the ones at the base. There are a couple of feathers that curve like a rooster's tail. So I have no idea weather it is a hen or a rooster. I think it looks more like a hen and my daughter says it looks more like a rooster. Opinions please.
