Hen pecking at wound!!!

My hen has a healing wound. She has recently started picking on it. Does anyone know how I can prevent her from doing this?
Homemade collar or something?

What kind of wound is it? Where is it? I'd get some blue kote and follow the directions for that.

On her wing, I started a thread a couple days ago about her, I am hopefully going to get it amputated very soon. Until then I don't want her to mess with it (causing more pain). Does blue kote keep them from pecking at it?

After looking at your other thread, I might wrap it. That is one heck of a wound. @Eggcessive and @Wyorp Rock - I'm still learning, would this be the right senario to wrap the wing?

If you are going to the vet, don’t use blukote. They won’t be able to see anything because it dyes everything blue.

I'll just have to find a bandage that she won't get out of. Its only temporary, to keep her from pecking until amputation.

I still wouldn’t use blukote. The vet needs to see everything for the surgery. Blukote doesn’t even wash off of skin or clothes.

That is a very good point- I thought she was talking about a minor scrape at first.
