I have 7 pullets and 1 cockerel. 4 pullets are 36 weeks old, the cockerel is also 36 weeks old, the other 3 pullets are about 18 weeks old. The cockerel has a favorite which is a 36 week old Australorp pullet. She is slowly loosing feathers at the base of her tail. I was wondering if I should put a saddle on her to help with this.
I would like to know the size of saddle to put on her. (she is skinny for an Australorp)
I would also like to know if I can leave it on her at night when she sleeps.

Here are pictures of her

Did you ever find out if you keep saddles on all day/overnight? I need to put one on a couple of my girls but I don’t know if it’s okay to leave them on them 24/7 or what??? 🤷🏼‍♀️
