So yesterday a groundhog scared the daylights out of my currently one laying hen while she was in the nesting box. We found her in the porch where she decided would be safe and laid her egg there. Now today she's adamant on coming back in to do the same. I picked her up and quickly took her back to the box but she came right back out.
Will this be an issue of her possibly becoming egg bound if I don't let her lay where she wants today?
How do I get her to go back to the box and stay there?

You really want the eggs in the coop nests so I would lock her in the coop (and lock the groundhog out) for a few days so she will reestablish the habit of nest laying.
Why would a groundhog go into a coop?

It went in through the open gate into the run, not into the coop itself. It probably bumped into it as it was making it's way around.
I just tried to lock her and her sister in the run but they started squawking up a storm and I can't have that. I could put her in the coop but I don't want her being loud in there either or overheating.
