hen sitting on alot of eggs- still laying?

I have two hens that I locked up in an 8x24' run about 3 weeks ago, they come off the nest a little while in the morning then right back on. I was in the pen yesterday and saw one of the hens off her nest. It appears she is still laying eggs. Is this normal? I kind of figured they would stop laying while tehy were broody. What do I do when tehy start hatching? should I remove eggs a few days after the first hatches? I appreciate any help.
