Hen stepped on egg!

Our 21 day old embryos are finally pipping through, I let the hen's down so they could go to the bathroom but when they got up they stepped on the egg! It cracked the egg even more but didn't break open, will the chick be okay?

update: the chick got out of the egg successfully but I've read that if you assist the hatching process (then hen stepped on it) usually the chick dies in a few hours or a few days. Will it live?

I don't see why it wouldn't live. It hatched on day 21, and that's the normal hatching day.

The less you bother setting hens the greater the chance for successful hatching. If the chick does not get trampled again by nervous hens, it should survive.
