My Sicilian Buttercup stopped laying about six weeks ago. I've never had a Sicilian Buttercup before, so I just assumed they just didn't lay as much as other hens. But yesterday, she died. I hadn't noticed any health problems. What kind of illnesses could cause a hen to stop laying for such a long period, and die?
