Hen thinks she’s a rooster?

I can’t tell if my chicken is making the predator alert noise for hours on end because she saw a mouse or a cat but all I know is it started when she got a flock, is it possible that she’s trying to act as the rooster and crow?

Which one? Hens sometimes act like roosters to fill on the gaps with flock protection. I have a hen that would crow after my rooster did.

The fully grown one, I’ve never had a rooster, I have a cockerel but he doesn’t crow.

Well she doesn’t not like the chicks, she follows them like her flock. It’s an alarm call, like quieter clicks then one really loud one and doesn’t stop till I go out then starts up again once I leave
