Or maybe I am in denial and my hen really is a rooster...
I have a California white hen(?) and recently she started "crowing" in the morning. I have read that a dominant female in the absence of a rooster will take on the rooster role. If I temporarily house her in an environment where there is a rooster, will this behaviour stop? And if so, can I re-introduce her into my flock if it does stop. And if so will she start crowing again?
A lot of variables I know.
