hen throwing up.Help!

I saw my RR hen throw up today.It looked like water.This is the first time i have seen her throw up.I have not had them but a few days.Water was froze this morning.Could see just have drank to much water?If it is something else what can a give her and the rest of my hens? thanks.

How is your hen now? Where do you live? I've never seen a chicken throw up either, so I can't help much.
Is she eating or drinking at all? Have you offered anything soft like plain yogurt or scrambled eggs?

Sometimes chickens just throw up, especially if they are picked up fast after drinking water.

If she starts throwing up mucuous or food, she may have a sour or impacted crop. I would keep an eye on her.

If it's just water, I wouldn't worry - my RIR is famous for drinking more than her crop can hold and dribbles water back up. She's healthy as a horse, just a little goofy.

She seems fine.she is eating and drinking.I live in western N.C. I thunk she just drank to much water after it thawed out. I was just worried something might be wrong with her. Thanks for the help.

She may have swallowed a bit of ice on the surface of the water. Probably surprised her when it didn't go down right...
