My dad is just not cooperating he said we cant buy 2 more hens since we are about to move and the hens arethe same age as the roosters

I'm not a fan of roosters if you your just wanting a small flock for some extra eggs and keeping as pets pretty much so don't stress, your dad might be looking out for the flocks best interest.

We are wanting to hatch our own eggs so we need a rooster. We also have predators arounf the house so they would have double protection if we had 2 roosters.

Who's "we"..... just you.... or you and your parents?
You really only need one male if you want fertile eggs.
Keeping more than one male,
or trying to get more females(which will not likely solve any problems),
is asking for trouble IMO.

2 roos do not mean double protection. Sure some roos will give their lives for the flock, I've had some great ones. But some will bolt before the hens know there's danger. Especially their first year
Oh okay... I hope it works because out of all the chickens the buff orpington chick is my favorite and the barred rock is the first chick we ever hatched
