Hen walking backwards

I was taking a video of our dog and caught our hen walking backwards. I’ve heard that that’s a sign of neck problems or neurological problems. I’ve never seen her do it before. I watched her the rest of the evening and she never did it again. She’s two years old my initial thought that she was looking at something and backing up towards it and then turned. Will hens walk backwards on occasion, or only if something’s wrong? Her head was just kind of cocked to the side like she was looking at something over her shoulder and she took about five steps backwards, stopped and then turned and walked in that direction.

Sounds like she was just looking at something.

I'd monitor her for several days to see if the behavior is consistent or not.
