I have a gold lace Orpington hen who was ill 2 months ago, vet thought she had Mareks Disease so I separated her and put her back with the others when she improved after about 10 days. She still has a problem with her right leg and can't move her right wing at all and I think she may have had a stroke. She had a bit of a tough time when she first went back in with the others but that settled down the problem is she now seems to think she's a cock and keeps mounting one of the other hens who's losing a lot of feathers in the process. Any advice apart from trying to rehome her

First, hello and

Are you absolutely sure she's a she?

Asides from that, the only advice I guess would be to wait and see if the behavior stops or rehome her. Are you also sure the hen she's mounting isn't just moulting and is losing the feathers because of that, with some help from the other hen jumping on her? A non moulting hen doesn't just drop feathers because another chook stood on her.

I have had hens that mated with other hens in past and after a few months they stopped doing that and never did it again. However I also had roosters around and I believe that helped.

Best wishes.
