Hen with a foot injury

We found one of our hens with an injury on her foot, about the size of an eraser where the skin is gouged with dried blood on it, no active bleeding. We washed it off and put a bandage on it, wrapped with medical tape. I did put a very small amount of neosporin ointment on it. Is that ok for chickens?? We were concerned that the other chickens may peck at the wound since they peck at anything red. Thank you for any help you can give.

Sounds good to me. If her foot gets dirty, you can wash the foot with water, dry and do her back up like you did. Poor baby!!!
