Hello this is my first broody silkie. She is sitting on 4 eggs (new eggs) and she has two day old chicks.
This is what happened. I bought her and she was so broody and desperate for a hatch that the lady who sold them to me said "do you want to take two of the chicks that just hatched yesterday and she can raise them." so that's what I did. She just sits on them, so I thought, is she crazy broody and just wants eggs, so I put out some eggs for her and she scooted them under herself.
Can this work? Or is it best for me to move the chicks to a brooder in a day or two?
btw, they're bearded silkies.
