I wish that I knew something that could have helped you, but I'm just learning myself and it sure is a slow process. I just want you to know that I am sending you big hugs and wishes that you can enjoy your vacation, regardless, knowing that you did everything you could do to help her.

We recently had a hen die from similar symtoms, and several others that had swollen abdomens as well. The chicken expert at Agway recommended a course of abx in the water (I am sorry, I can remember the name of the one we used) and that helped the rest get over it.

He said is was probably just something picked up from a wild bird
