One of our hens (an 8-month old Plymouth Rock just had dry fowl pox, and has now recovered. Now, another one of our hens who contracted it from our Plymouth Rock is developing symptoms.)

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)

She is an Ameraucana hen, 8.5 months and lighter than the others (but she has always been the smallest).

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
She has two big bumps on her face, one near the beak which has grown quite big (almost a centimeter in diameter) which is circular, and another on the other side which is smaller.

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
She has had this bump for 1-2 weeks but it is only now began to be larger in size.
Today, I've been noticing her breathing is quite loud and she is sneezing.

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
Our Plymouth Rock (same age as our Ameraucana) just had fowl pox (dry) for about a month and is now better with no remaining symptoms.

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No.

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Ameraucana contracted pox from our Plymouth Rock which is now recovered.

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Eating and drinking, but tends to sneeze a lot.

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Normal.

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
No treatment so far.

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
If possible we would like to treat her at home ourselves, but if absolutely necessary we can take her to a vet.

11) Describe the housing/bedding in use.
She sleeps on a covered ladder outside the small coop where our other 3 hens sleep.

Thank you in advance for suggesting treatment!
