Hen with mites....permetherin?

I have a hen with mites but where I live no treatment specific for chickens is available. I have some general insect killer dust that is 5% permetherin. Can I use this on the chicken?

Yes, permethrin dust will work. Redust your birds in 7-10 days to kill nits hatched from eggs missed by the initial dusting.
Dust the inside of your coop, roosts and nests.
