Hen with possible Ascites

Hey there. My chicken Scrappy isn't doing well. She's been sort of chronically unwell for the last six months. She'll have good spells and then she'll start acting weak and not eating again. Her crop is always fine, and her poop is always fine. I asked about it here a few months ago and no one was sure what was wrong. It's so hard to tell sometimes. I treated her for worms back then but I don't think she really had any. Lately I noticed her walking and standing just a bit wider than the other girls. Tonight I felt her belly, and it was swollen. I know she's not eggbound because she hasn't laid any eggs in a long time. She's not old, maybe only three years old? So I guess it must be Ascites, and from what I know, that's untreatable.
I feel so bad for her. I try to keep her eating and look after her but I don't know what to do. I thought I would ask here just in case someone had experience with it and there is something I can do for her.
Otherwise...I will just love her and look after her as long as she can get around until she tells me it's time to help her move on to the other side.

I'm sorry she's not feeling well.

It does sound like she may be having some reproductive issues if she's not laid eggs in a good while.
Bloat or fluid in the abdomen would be a symptom (Ascites) which often can accompany EYP, Internal Laying, cancer, etc.
Sometimes if there's a lot of fluid and the hen is having a difficult time moving about, is having problems breathing and is in decline, then draining the fluid can make them more comfortable.
Since she's moving about still and is able to chicken, then you may want to try giving her Aloe Detox instead and see if that helps with the fluid before it gets to the point of needing to be drained. @coach723 details the product and how she uses it HERE.
Hens can go up and down when they have these troubles, sadly, eventually they do succumb to whatever ails them.

Yeah it's a pretty solid bloat and she breathes ok but I know she is uncomfortable 😞
Thank you for your reply. I'll look into the Aloe
