So I have this fantastic silver Lakenvelder hen, who lays beautiful white eggs, but she has spurs?!?! They are a little shorter than the size of the tip of your finger to the first joint. I was freaked out at first when I noticed them and was questioning if she was really a roo and my other white egg later was just laying two eggs a day. But, she doesn't have pointy saddle feathers or pointed feathers on her neck! Is this normal?

We had a bantam barred rock hen that had Spurs about the same size and we thought she was a roo but then we saw her lay an egg

We got 3 Buttercup hens from McMurray last spring. All 3 are all growing spurs. I've had an occasional hen in the past with them too, so it certainly isn't unheard of.
