Hen with Spurs?

Quick question here... Can hens get spurs? While commenting on the quality of my Roosters spurs, my wife pointed to on of our favorite Buff Orptington hens and said that it had almost as big spurs... And so it seems she does. None of my other hen have spurs, interluding my other Buff Orpington. Is this normal'ish or I have just got a rooster who is very interested in staying hidden?

Yep, I've had several with spurs, two blue Orps (mother and daughter), a black Orp and a Speckled Sussex.

Yes, hens can have spurs! All four of my phoenix hens have spurs.

That's good to hear, the wife will be glad to hear her favorite hen isn't really a rooster!! I guess it doesn't hurt to have a hen that can lay the rooster out if he gets out of line.

I have a Standard Grey American Game Hen and she has spurs as big as my BO roosters!!
