Hen won't lay if another egg in nest

I have a hen here that won't lay if there is another egg in her nest. Is that normal? She gets quite upset. Luckily I am at home so can check regularly to remove them so she can lay but what will she do if I'm not here one day?

she can't HOLD IT IN - it has to come out sooner or later.

Odd for sure, my hens ALL want to lay in the same place - seems they LOVE to see another egg and are very happy to go sit on it and wait to lay their own.

I think your chicken is a bit confused... I have the exact opposite problem they all want to lay in one nesting box. If you could you might want to put another nesting box so she could have her own.

I have 6 nesting boxes and they are only using 2 so far. I worry that she may roll the egg out to get in. She did it with a golf ball. lol. Silly girl.
