We've had a variety of chickens for about 12 years. We raise them for eggs and their company
Started when my kid was 4, and we've never looked back.
We successfully keep multiple roos, and have only had to rehome a few when they couldn't sort it out themselves.
Our oldest hen is 12. She's a grey aracuna, mostly blind, comes to our voice.
Live in California, recently evacuated for 12 days and came home to eggs! As in many. We've left a few under some VERY broody hens
Look forward to lots of good reading.
