We've had a variety of chickens for about 12 years. We raise them for eggs and their company :)

Started when my kid was 4, and we've never looked back.

We successfully keep multiple roos, and have only had to rehome a few when they couldn't sort it out themselves.

Our oldest hen is 12. She's a grey aracuna, mostly blind, comes to our voice.

Live in California, recently evacuated for 12 days and came home to eggs! As in many. We've left a few under some VERY broody hens :)

Look forward to lots of good reading.
