We have 11 babies in the brooders — varying ages. The oldest four are a little over 6weeks, 2 Olive Eggers, and 2 Noir Marans. The next three are 6weeks, Bantams, and the remaining four are almost 4weeks and are Ayman Cemani. We bought them all from our local General Store which where we have always bought out chickens from and we purchased them sexed... however as I was putting Padme (Noir Maran) back in the brooder tonight I noticed her beautiful saddle feathers.... blue, green, etc... WHAT?! I’m pretty sure this is a roo. Her/his sister has no such feathers. What do you think?

Along with the comb, looks like you have at least 1 cockerel on your hands. Though when I searched ‘Noir Maran’ up they’re different to the black cockerel you have. They’re a sex linked Maran so males are barred, not solid colour. They’re single combed. And they don’t have muffs. Are you sure this one isn’t an Olive Egger?
