The NPIP inspector was here today.

I locked the Pom gander and the young goose in a small pen so they couldn't interfere with testing the nesting goose. I dragged the goose of her nest, getting myself well bitten in the process.

When I let her go, she didn't go back onto the nest. She ran over to the penned gander and scolded him up one side and down the other for not doing his job. She was so mad that he hadn't defended the nest, she was stomping her feet and flapping her wings at him.

When she went back to the nest, I let him go and he is now laying in front of the nest, doing his guard duty, and looking browbeaten and properly chastised.

Now he's really confused.

He stood up and gave me a fierce hiss today and I told him to knock it off.

He can't win. He's getting it from both sides.
