Hens are definitely not picky eaters.

My 6 hens, or rather feathered velociraptors, found a dead hummingbird and had a great time playing keep away and then eating the poor thing. Yuck.

That shows how they evolved from dinosaurs

I tell you what, that squirrel in my yard who taunts the chickens has no clue how dangerous they are!

They've mobbed it, and it escaped up one of the trees to chitter angrily at 'em. They lost interest and foraged off in various directions, but one of these days that squirrel is going to seriously underestimate the situation!

One cockerel in particular will park himself at the foot of the tree trunk, looking up. He really dislikes the squirrel.

The flock has caught and eaten several tree frogs, ate dead mice I trapped and threw to the chickens, and tore apart a small snake. Alive.

I hope I never fall and break a hip whilst filing their feeders.
