Hens are fighting after 3 hens killed

Help! Something got into my hen yard yesterday and killed 3 out of 6 of my hens. Today, after releasing them to wander the yard while I "clean up", they started fighting. Seriously fighting. Like cock fights. Mostly two against the one. I assume they are all extremely upset from last night... but this is scary. I've separated out the one they are attacking and I've put them in separate horse stalls for the night. I hope they are over it tomorrow but if not, I'm not sure what I'll do. ?? Is it normal for them to fight after a "tragedy"?? Thanks, Christine

They are fighting to establish a new pecking order. I would let them work it out unless it's getting bloody. Separating them only prolongs it.
