I have two coops. one much larger than the other. I have bantams and standards. My bright idea was to switch all the bantams into the smaller - easier for them to use- coop and the standards only into the one that is more suited to their size. Now, everyone is fighting and mad. the bantam coop is silkies and hasn't any roosting poles, and one barred bantam cochin. The big girls are in one with tons of roosting areas and plenty of stretch your leg room, even if all five are in there.

they ranged together...bantams and standards, fine up until this switch, and now ican't even let them do that with out the feathers flying.

how long tlll each coop gets their pecking orders straightened out?

i have been trying the distraction method...lotsa weeds ti dig thru, lots of watermelon rinds to pick at...flipped over rrockss to expose bugs...stil they are pickin on each oter
