Hens are pooping in the nest boxes.

My girls are 20 weeks old......I got my first egg on Monday and the girls are pooping in the nest boxes. Any suggestions?

Sorry, not much you can do. my hens poop EVERYWHERE !!
I'm cleaning poop in my dreams .....
part of life for a chicken.

Your roosts should be higher than the nest boxes, that may help. (Too late but) it's best not to have the nests available until they are confirmed in their roosting place, ie: on the roost. But is your roost chicken-friendly? Check out the roost recommendations on this site, there are some things you may not have thought of. (I didn't!) Good luck!
