Tommarow is my beloved flocks first birthday. I was looking for ideas to celebrate a good year.

Yay!! For mine, I made a corn meal fruit, and veggie hatch day cake with yogurt “frosting” and mealworms. They devoured it!!

This is SUCH a good idea! My flocks’ anniversary is coming up soon (late summer, I’ll have to look, can’t remeber exactly when they usually just get A BUNCH of extra mealworms, but I like this idea better! I might try it with bagels though. We buy soft bread bagels, but they usually get thrown to the chickens, so since I have Bantams, and they don’t like to share, I might make multiple little “cakes” for them!

Awww! I need to do something like that! I write on my calendar every singe chickens birthday. I have some coming up!

I decided to bake them a cake using a mix that I bought from a chicken supplies store and they absolutely LOVED it. Needless to say, they had a great birthday.
