Hens fighting

One of our hens whos at the bottom of the pecking order started fighting another hen (called Ash). Ash was ill with mycoplasma a year ago and although shes recovered shes very slow, docile and doesn't usually peck at the others. After the fight, Ash had a lot of blood on her comb and wattles. Her wounds have now healed but we wondered if there was anyway to prevent this from happening again?

Sometimes they will attack birds that are acting odd or off. The only way to prevent it is to remove unwell birds. The smaller the set up the less tolerance in my experiences.
