One of my hens seems to be injured but I can't catch her to check her over. I will have to wait until they come in to roost tonight, they are pasture raised. She isn't limping at all and seems to be eating normally. This is a 2-3 year old Blue Copper Marans.

Any ideas?? There is a huge bulge on the side of her foot which I don't believe to be bumblefoot. Everyone, including her, seems to be molting. We lost our head hen last weekend so they are all acting weird anyway.

I can't even get near her but managed to get this shot with a zoom.

It looks like she just cut it on something like glass. My chickens have done hat before, though never bled that bad. Wash the wound well and make sure you get the bleeding to stop. Then, you can return her to the coop if the bleeding is clean or keep her in a clean cage for a day or so until the wound heals.

I hope you can catch her soon. Best off luck!

If you can't get her before tonight, does she at least roost somewhere you can reach her? They're pretty blind at night so once they've settled in, they don't move unless you give them too much light.
