Should I be concern, quite of few of my hens have a poopy butt. Is that normal? Should I give them a bath? Or do you think it is their diet or bugs? I haven't changed anything on their diet and they free range most of the time. Any ideas or suggestions?
Oh, poopy butts? If you mean their butts are clogged with lots of poo, you should clean it regularly! Use some kind of cloth or tissue to rub out the poo out of their butts or else they can get sick. Yes, sounds disgusting, but it's quite a must!
If you mean they poop very often, it's normal. I had 4 chickens in an old coop once and the coop almost overflowed with poo in just 2 days!
