Hi everybody!! I have a flock of 14 hens... supposed to be 14 hens anyway. I’m 99.9% sure my Ameraucana “Peggy Sue” is actually a Roo! I am renaming him Pegasus I suppose. I have my suspicions about my Barred Rock (Cruela) as well. I was hoping I could post some pictures and get some insight if I am correct? Thanks I’m advance! They are both 17 weeks and a few days old.

Thanks everyone! I thought he was a Roo! I will work on getting a picture of his face if I can! I’m glad to hear that Cruela is a pullet. The hatchery still says that the cockerel is an ameraucana breed but I’m not a pro of the differences in breeds. Either way he’s a beauty and I’ve fallen in love with him anyway. Though I will miss getting eggs from him!

A lot of hatcheries sell Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas which can be very misleading. Ameraucana have a standard, with certain requirements they must meet, while Easter Eggers can look like just about anything.
